Windows 7 in virtualbox

Hello fellow Linux users, I am starting now to install Windows 7 in Virtual box, everything starts very good, virtual box knows how much space I need a suggest 512mb of memory, but I put it to around 800mb.



So whats the point from having a virtual Windows 7? I think the point is that Windows XP is outdated, and a new operating system like Windows 7 will have better performance, at least thats what I hope.




So I will be starting the installation now, it only gives me English as language, so to bad no Dutch, but I will select Dutch Time and Currency format, so lets click the button next, and the see what will happen next.

You can see that Kubuntu will offer you many language to install your operating system in, but Windows not, you only get one or with OEM you have 3 chooses.



I have to admit, nowadays installing a operating system is as easy as it can be, to bad pc stores charge much money for this, lucky we Linux users are smart enough to know better.



This is something I haven't see before with any operating system, so thats quite cool, choosing if you want x64 or x86. Okay please don't choose x64 I got error this cpu is not x64 lol. Or else u get screen telling u that.



Okay I will accept it, lucky they are not as Apple, Aplle is much worse then Microsoft, I don't get why Ms Kroes doesnt give them some fee from millions of euro's,.



So now its really starting to install after answering all the stuff and clicking next next next.

Later I will write the rest, it will take some time till it finished.

UPDATE




So after finshing installing I needed to install the guest addon, and now I have Windows7 as big like that, though aero doesnt work, I still wonder why because virtual box support 3d acceleration.

Okay I know enough what about the performance?

I will give u some plus points but I also saw already one min point, because we all

I will start with the min point.

1. Boot time is longer the XP in virtualbox needs.
2. Microsoft want to push try get bing default ( Sorry I am loyal to Google, they will pay me money )
3. The need to run a Virtual Windows

Sorry guys for now I can not get more minus, thats it, now I will try get some good points

1. It seems to run stable
2. A good browser is default ( As KDE will also only provide Konqeuror so I do not agree with Europe that Microsoft can not do that in EU )
3. Its not outdated probably.

Okay thats it, if I find some improvements on updating my iphone I will blog it then.
